The preparation of Bordeaux liquid is made of lime milk and copper sulfate aqueous solution in a certain proportion as a pesticide, and the disease and insect pests are destroyed by the copper element in it. In the process of sugar making, calcium hydroxide is used to neutralize the acid in the syrup, and then carbon dioxide is added to make the remaining calcium hydroxide become precipitate and filter out, so as to reduce the acid taste of sugar.
